Media Making Change.

This photo is really impressing. I love how people, with their cell phones, cameras, laptops, and tablets appear to be grouped around the center; the World Of Media. It is eye catchy, because it relates every technology we use today to the 'Media'. It exactly depicts how a great portion of our lives is being blindly and fully dependent on Media, perhaps unknowingly, yet; surely.

Media struck our world, I don't wan't to say so fast, because yes, it did take long periods of time if we took into consideration the various phases that each medium went through, i.e. the books, newspapers, magazines, radio, television and the internet. However; everytime a new technology is added, it becomes widespread and embedded into our lives, FASTER than the one before it. If this is supposed to mean anything, it will only mean that; the improvements and development in the media field is becoming exponential. No one knows what's hidden in the next 10 years, but what I am sure about is this period of time (10 years) will most probably be enough time for a new technology to appear, and spread worldwide. I mean, seriously, let's view our case today: The Internet and The Web. We can say that it became esstential in our daily lives so fast! The period it took might approximately be just about 20 years from the time it was firstly invented.
So think further now; beyond the obvious. Why not a new technology spreading in the coming 10 to 12 years?
Perhaps...

Photo Analysis: The busy and dominating "Media World". Very depicting. I love this photo.
PS: I do not own this photo neither did I create it. Found it on google.

TV... The Most Influential?

So as I specified in the description, is the Television the most influential medium? Having been considered all other types of media; the traditional media, the new media, etc. Does the television really win over everything else?

First of all, other than being a technology that is now a basic part of our lives, what is Television? What is it delivering? Does it reach out all the people worldwide?  Ever since the TV stormed the media world, what influence did it leave on the audience? Was it a positive impact, a negative impact, or a combination of both?

Did it succeed to deliver the major functions of communication? And what is the mass opinion regarding this? Is the audience satisfied? And, TV, being a system of content as well, do the contents of a TV reflect all taste and preferences?

On the other hand, how did it all start off? When was the birth of the television? What stages and periods did it go through in developing and improving? When was the revolutionary stage and how did it affect the global media in a general perspective?

A lot of other questions roam our minds regarding this remarkable communication technology, and the debates are ongoing, surprisingly enough, even between scholars themselves! So yes, let's dig into this debatable matter, that I really found myself interested and somehow attracted to, thus; decided to make my blog about it. I will compare TV with other media, and try to weigh them both to reach reasonable results!

So basically, I am going to share anything related to media, social networking, cons and pros, exaggeration, etc. to compare and contrast, and see which medium of communication results with the least disadvantages and the most advantages.
I hope you all find this interesting - like I do - as well as beneficial and entertaining :D .
Cheers x
